Come Out, Come Out Whoever You Are!

It's Love Our Lurkers day! A whole bunch of spanking blogs are uniting in an effort to show the love to our faithful silent readers. We know you're out there. We love that you're out there. And after today, if your heart desires, you can disappear into the mist once again - but for today - please, please, please peek your head out from under the covers and say "boo!"

I personally would LOVE to hear from you - ALL of you! Just a little hello! You can leave a comment with your name, your neighbor's name, the pope's name, or anonymously - just leave a comment!!!

Do it! Do it! I dare ya!

Do it with gusto - like the way I throw eyedrops at Adam's head. Do it with panache - like the way I smash dishes against my kitchen wall. Do it sincerely, passionately, albeit painfully -- just the way you'd like to be spanked (or spank her, if you're the SO).

Do it now, or the teacher in me will call on you! Or worse yet, I'll send Adam out to find you with the EVIL RED STICK - or the brat loop, if you prefer!!!

Angel,

OK, I'll admit to reading here a lot more often than I comment. That doesn't make me a lurker, just a perpetually busy blogger.

However, with that said, today is a good time to tell you how much I enjoy your writing. You have a real knack for blending slice of life stories with penetrating insight.

Thank you for all you do!

Hugs,
Bonnie

Hello at last, Adam's Angel!Yours is one of my top favourites for numerous reasons. For instance, you give a strong impression of honesty, I believe you tell the truth (not so common!) Secondly, your writing has lyricism as well as strength. And I admire your courage in starting the DD thing. Though I sometimes wish we could have a chat - I mean, if you're a Muslim, aren't you supposed to obey your husband anyway? You have a good man there, your marriage can only get better and better. Sincere good wishes from Kk

Thanks everyone! And to those of you who are just getting here - it's not to late to post!

Yes, whatever I post here is the truth - my good side and bad side! It doesn't do much service to anyone to fabricate things and make our DD look perfect, which it is far from. I write mostly to clear out my own head, and if someone finds help in that, that's a bonus.

I hope you'll all keep reading -- and even better, commenting!

Happy Saturday!
Danielle

Kannakat,

Please email me and we can chat. I've got lots of thoughts on whether or not muslim wives are "supposed" to obey their husbands, including some interesting textual analysis of the Qu'ran, but I'm not sure this is the place for my rants. In short, the answer is yes and no, and certainly not to the degree that he can spank you like Adam spanks me. That supposition is mostly cultural, and unfortunately, a battle I doubt we'll ever win. But 'nuff said. If you would like to chat about this or anything else, please do email and we can exchange IMs!

Hi Danielle,
I really enjoy your blog, I've meant to leave a comment many times but never got up the courage. I used to be a university teacher and your story about posting to the website had me laughing out loud and cringeing in embarrassment at the very thought of it! Anyway, hope things continue to work out well for you.

I have been a lurker for a few months now. I love your blog. Thanks for sharing it with us. Because of you, I was able to talk to my man about DD. Thank you!

Warm greetings from a reader of many blogs, from someone who has little to no skill in writing.

I suppose that must mean I'm a lurker.

I also think if many like me didn't read, bloggers would become like private diary writers.

Anyway, I just want to end with saying I enjoy what you all submit

Thank You

hi...

can I say, at last.. i found a Muslim wife who practice DD in their life. i found about DD last month and decided to give it a try early this month. its actually against out culture; man who spank a woman is not gentleman. We both Muslim from Asia but we've been living in north America for few years. I did asked to my husband about this life style and he agreed to give a try because we had tried to work so many things in our marriage but it fail.

When i started to read your blog yesterday, i realized that i haven't obey to my husband since our first day marriage. it almost 4 years of our marriage and i glad i found DD and made me realized that what I'm done before this is wrong. Yes, in Islam a wife is asked to obey her husband after God, Allah ( from my understanding) but i kept fail to do that because I'm too stubborn and proud of myself.. may be?

Danielle,
i 'm glad i found your blog n shared your stories and opinion about DD. before this, i felt like I'm insane for choosing this lifestyle.. huhuhuhuhuhuhuhu

Elin,

Thank you soooo much for commenting! I know exactly what you mean. Many non-muslims think it's perfectly normal for muslim men to beat their wives on a regular basis, but of course, that is not actually the way Allah intends it, nor does our religion say that is okay. Adam is actually VERY worried what our muslim friends would say if they knew. Only the worst men hit their wives.

But of course, DD isn't the same as beating or hitting - only if people could understand that!!!

I can't tell you how often I've searched the net for other muslim women who practice this, but I haven't found any - only ridiculous articles about men's right to discipline his wife and how a wife should obey her husband. Drives me nuts when they twist the religion like that, when overwhelmingly the Qu'ran tells husbands and wives to be kind and care for each other, to sacrifice for each other, and to never treat each other harshly. But anyway...

Please email me if you'd like. The link is to the right.

Salams!
Danielle

Hi Adam's Angel,
I'm a year late, but I accept your challenge to come out of lurkering. I just discovered your blog today and have been happily reading and remarking to myself how much your feelings mirror mine. And I thought I was all alone!
